I had the pleasure of having dinner at this beautifully decorated high-end restaurant. I was traveling toute seule. I have felt compelled to write something at the risk of encouragement to other seekers of quality dining. Two words are only required. Fantastic. And value. I have been lucky enough to dine in many Michelin awarded establishments all over the world. This place takes some beating! Let's start with the welcome. Fabulous. The menu was a wonderfully chosen mix of tasty treats. I chose a fois gras. With some brilliant sides of flavorsome sauces. And a sweet rocket salad. This is the best fois I have had in Lyon. The chef, Ivan, had already introduced himself with a ready smile and warm handshake. I had already asked him to choose a win to accommodate my choices of food that I had in mind. Ivan didn't disappoint, and neither did he with the main of melt in the mouth beef. Loaded with truffle and a rich sauce to accompany the mash. It was so good that I used the bread to clean my plate! I had a cheese selection to finish, which was also superb. It was simply wonderfully simple. And unbeatable value. I took luncheon across the road at a two Michelin star restaurant for lunch. I can honestly say that although that was excellent, in terms of value, this was ten times better. And more fun. One of the best places in Lyon. This was fine dining, fun and a wonderfully entertaining evening. I highly recommend this little gem. Thanks, Ivan and the team.
